Move Window Controls to the door
I looked at a bunch of different GM switches for power windows but didn’t think I could make them work in the door panels in my HHR so I used some like I have in my Neon’s.
I just piggy backed into the HHR window wires and ran new wire to the doors. On the inside of the door panels I used a two part epoxy glue to hold chunks of plastic I scavenged from and old stereo cabinet to mount the switches.
I stacked a few layers of the plastic so I could use screws to hold the switches in place. It took some figuring out of things but the switches light up now just like they are supposed to if you put them in a Neon.
I am just a tad worried that one day the epoxy may let go but I figure I can always put at least one screw through the door panel to hold it in place.

Looking at the waterfall located switch plug in I see 12 terminals. Like mentioned above this is a simple switch setup. So I just did a quick search of vibe/matrix master switches and see that their plug has 14 terminals in which 2 should be for the door lock switch that is part of the unit. This seems like it would be something that you would just need to map out what terminals are for the same function and switch on the unit and then run your own wires from the origional harness connector into the door. Then fiberglass a trim piece for them to fit into our doors. I am sure there are plenty of other "simple" wiring master switches out there that could be modified to make this work. That would cut down on the costs and hassle of trying to make the newer more involved switches work.
Here is 02-07 Buick Rendezvous master switch. It is just the windows and their lock out just like our center mount ones and it has only 12 terminals. Since the switches are rockers, making a bezel or trim piece should be easier then some of these others.

Do you have a pic of them installed?
No, I didn’t take any pictures while I was doing it I suppose I could try to get a pic of the switch in the door.
It was enough fun the first time but I don’t want to take it all apart again just for photos.

I have taken some pictures of the window control switches I installed but I’m having real problems getting them from my computer to the site.
I’ll work on it some more and see if I can put them on some photo hosting site and link to them.
I had no problem putting a photo of myself in the gallery part of this site and linking to it but for some reason its not working this time
