Rear View Mirror Plug

are you supposed to see the plug from the outside? isn't there a cap to cover it?

anyone? if you have the fancy mirror can you see your connector plug from the outside of the car?????

Are you referring to the photo cell thats on the back of the mirror so it knows when to dim down the rear view mirror?

Yes.No cap. You can see the plug if your "looking" for it. Until you brought this up, I hadn't really noticed that it was visible. NOW, I'm going to notice it every time I look!!!!!!! Sonuva------!!!!

I believe this is a Wiring "Cap" for the rear view mirror. Covers the wires up to the headliner against the windshield.

I have that cover to the headliner, A&P. I am refering to the actual wire harness plug on the back of the mirror. Mine has the wires covered by electric tape,and then the plug plugs into the mirror..looks like crap...
