It is a bit more than a mattress tag, if you cannot get the car inspected and legally sold! The glue they use is impossible to get off because it is required that the tags be on the visor. It falls under the category of "Big Brother" wants you to have it, Kinda like "if the Corps wanted you to have it....."

I can vouch for this, as my wife tried removing the one on the passenger side visor. The glue would not come out of the fabric. Tried placing an aftermarket visor sticker in place, but it never really adhered properly to the fabric and didn't look so good.

As for reselling/trading the HHR without it, the Infiniti dealer never even looked.

In Va. I went a long time with window film on the top of my windshield, until 1 day the inspector had just read "the book". A rejection is a real PITA here, especially because it was just a static cling material. But any way, just because the buyer did not notice does not clear you in the long run, fear the government!

i was making a 1100 mile drive from Phoenix to Atlanta and hated those stickers so bad that i peeled them on the drive from el paso to dallas. took about an hour each. left a glue area that looks better than the sticker. now i will find a way to clean them. will send picture. I will never trade this vehicle it is going for 1 million miles
