Woodgrain dash kit install

When I got my HHR I wanted to install a dash kit in it. I have had them in all my cars and like them. I had one in my ranger pickup I bought from Sherwood innovations back some 22 years ago. and then back in 03 on the wife's car. This kit took 2 weeks to get shipped from Canada. They have gone to a pressure sensitive vinyl with 3M backing tape and to be honest it works good when working with curved surface's . All 44 pieces took 1 1/2 to install and overall I like the way it came out against the grey interior of our 2011.

You have to take your time installing these kits. If you get in a hurry you can screw up and once the part is laid on it will not come up without destroying it. I found it best to install the kit during the day when there is plenty of light. Wipe the surface down with alcohol and before it dries put on the piece you are installing. This will give you time to adjust the piece if needed. I bought mine from CARiD. com at $130.00. Would I buy it again, yes. I think it helps give the HHR interior a little bit of a upscale look and feel.

I bought one a while back in polished aluminum two years ago later took off all the pieces and switched to white c fiber a little less shiney and goes better with the theme, love it and easy too clean.

From what I was told Sherwood has plants in California and Canada. Seeing I live in California 200 miles away form the manufacturing plant, some would think they would have shipped from here. Not so, however the product I received was excellent and well made!!

THANKS, After a week of getting it installed and getting use to it in the car, it does add a inviting feeling to the inside of the HHR.

Without my dash kit I would have grown tired of the dash board years ago. It makes a huge difference in how the inside feels.
