Aa far as hotels go, there are a ton on places nearby. everything from the red carpet in (about $65 per nite) to the marriott (about $200 per nite). Choosing one just depends on what everyone is willing to pay. I wont be needing a room so i wont dip into the that kool-aide.

There is no Red Carpet Inn in Carlisle
Here are a few that I looked up on the web with prices (per day)
I would book fast it looks as if there are not many left.
I would do a search fo places a few miles out, They are cheaper and are more likly to have more rooms left.

to register
In order to register our club/group, we have to put up $160.00. We'll get that back when 25 or more register under out club/group name. So I guess the next step is finding the money to register.

Email from Val Stewart - Carlisle Events Coordinator
We can pre-register before June 8th for $30.00 per vehicle. I asked Val how Carlisle's Showfield will be set up. This is her response: "The showfield at GM is sorted by classes which are pre-determined by the Event Manager. When you arrive, you’ll be directed to your class, but spots in the class are first come, first served."
I asked her if we wanted to be parked together on the showfield, would that be possible. Her response: "If you all arrive together and are in the same class, you have a good chance of parking together."
I'm planning to be there by 8am each day of the show. If anyone wants to meet me in Carlisle, let me know.
I will be registering on-line next week. Here is the online registration page http://store.carlisleevents.com/merc...gory_Code=CAN4
The registration form asks for the club name. Have we made a definate decision on the name or does it really matter?
