Thre's also the Glen Iris Inn located right in Letchworth State Park. They're a little pricier, and probably liable to be very busy on a nice Fall weekend: http://www.glenirisinn.com/index.php?pageID=4

DISCLAIMER: I've personally never been to either, but I've heard good things about the Glen Iris.
Been to the Genesee River Restaurant several times in the last two years and the food has always been good.
The other good thing is that they have plenty of parking in the rear to accomodate alot of cars.
And it's a stones throw from the park entrance.
That's my vote.

I'm inclined to say this'll be a rain or shine event. I mean, unless we get a hurricane coming through, I don't see us having trouble in terms of rain ... maybe it might put a damper on taking pics from a sunroof, but other than that it should be okay.

For the Buffalo area folks ... I have some thoughts for where to meet up, but again, they're both in Tonawanda, and maybe some of the more southward Buffalo folks would want to meet closer to home. For what it's worth, both of my suggested meeting places have big parking lots close to the 290: Tops on Young Street, or the Tonawanda Bowl (also on Young Street). As far as a time, I'm thinking the Buffalo folks can form up wherever we're meeting at ... oh, 9:30 and go from there? Opinions?

I also concur with bigallis1, the Genesee River sounds like a good bet.

fastsuv, it's a shame you can't make it, but hopefully your surgery goes well and you'll be cruisin' with us again.

Considering the location and the availability of parking, I would say the Genesee River Restaurant looks like the best bet.

If you want and anybody else wants to, we can meet at the Tim Horton's on Lehigh Station Road & West Henrietta road. From there we can meet up with the others down at the McD's near RT390.

UPDATED Head Count for Letchworth Color Tour 10/20

Here it is, the up-to-date headcount!

Desert Coyote

NY HHR
DocWylie

denotes a newbie to HHRWNY events. Warm welcomes will be made to you when we meet up.

Currently the plan is to meet at the Mt. Morris McDonald's, close to the park entrance. Figure on meeting up at about 10:30 or so, and when we get all there (hopefully around 11am), we'll head into the park. If anyone could find out whether the park admission fee will still be in effect, I'd really appreciate it (last year when I went through with my in-laws, the fee was not being collected).

Smile Park Fee's

Don Battista & I are going to check things out this Thursday.
I'll do a time check from Tonawanda and mileage check. Plan to cruise the park for a few good stops for the shutter bugs as well.
I'm looking for a shot from the train tressal back on the HHR caravan.

Fizz, I'm envious of those mods! I hope you'll consider joining our merry band of WNY'ers on this, and future, jaunts.
