After Clay Bar/ Mini Photoshoot

Thanks! Yeah, people are surprised when I tell them that I bought the car used, and that it's an '06. Most people think it's new!
And that looks good Mongo!
Don't know why I decided to do it now. I guess I don't want to do it when it gets too warm out, and I had a few days off, and my Lumina is out, so I have another car to drive... Figure if the mood is right, I better do it while it lasts. Doesn't happen often. Waxing is the same way.
Yeah, that old GM site is in the middle to north end of Flint, along the river. Goes up to Stewart Ave. north, and down a little past Hamilton Ave, and from the river west to Industrial Ave. Used to be called "Buick City", and was a huge complex, included the hq for Buick. But, that's changed now...obviously. It's really sad. I remember watching them implode the smoke stacks on tv back in '01. I know they're looking to clean up the site and make a rail to truck shipping hub...but the site is pretty contaminated. It's been a GM plant since the beginning of the 20th century.

yeah that's the one he was at for 30 or so years. They had an employee day right before they shut it all down so I went up there with him and got to tour the plant and all that jazz. It was pretty cool. Now it's rubble.
It's a shame they couldn't turn that facility into something other than a pile of rubble. Sell it to a car company that is looking to build a new facility. Something other than tearing it down. That's life I guess.......
