Running laps

And the winner is.....

That SUV slowed us up the whole run! Thats Bisho1p behind him, at least for a moment!

It was a real trip actually seeing that thing in my rear view!!

Paul and I had just started our 1st of 5 laps. Not a bad line of cars ther...SSR, SSR, HHR, Vette, HHR!!

Yeah, that's what you think it is...I just had to get a pic of one of the few left of em that haven't rusted away or been put to rest in scrap yards!

That's me waiting to get out to do my second run!

Talking An inside view

As soon as we got there they sent us straight to pit row to get in line. No time to get ready, just go!

Here's a few pics taken while we were going around. (Still had the wife and two kids in the car too!!)

The SUV you see was a little on the sloooooooow side!

Me passing the sloooooooow SUV!!

And yes, someone really took their Dodge commercial panel-van on the track, yes I passed that too!

Road Trip!!!

I know I did these pics in reverse but at least I've got pics!!

Gotta love the storage space!! That is a very full load!

I know, I posted this already, twice actually......but damn.....119 mph with a full load and 4 people! That is one bad a$$ 2.4!! Made me proud. Oh yeah, btw, I do believe that is now the highest speed posted here.

We met DYLANSHHR, Jim and Claire, at Bob Evans in Richmond breakfast and then hit the road.

Loved the reflection of the checkered floor in the car!

Wow!!!

Man I am beat!

It was a great time. We loved meeting a couple of you (Yo, Jim, Claire and Paul!!). and look forward to meeting a few more in OK in a few weeks.

Driving at Bristol was incredible. I can't beleave that they run that track with a full field at speed and still pass each other!! I about crapped my pants the first time I took a turn too fast. I will say this though, I'm happy I got the anti-sway bar on before I left because the only thing I felt getting sloppy was my own rear-end!

I think my wife Bonnie enjoyed it more than I did. I had the windows up, radio off...ya know, to concentrate. I saw her go by doing her laps and her window is closed. Next time around, window's open! While driving, she not only put down the window but changed the xm station and cranked out some tunes!

No wonder I love that woman!!

She now is a convert. When we pay this one off she wants an Amethyst! And she's already said that if they have a six out by then she wants it too! She didn't come down from the high for hours! Neither did I it was soooo cooool!

Next year we have got to organize this as an event. There were a bunch a different clubs there....Vettes, Gold-Wings

I'm sure if we talked to the track we might even be able to have a show on the lot outside the track.

I can't wait until next year!

You did 119 MPH with your kids in the car? That's nuts. I'm not slamming you in any way but I can't bring myself to even go 5 MPH over the speed limit with the kids in the car. About the fastest my kids have gone is 65 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
