Mine was as at least as dirty as Mowgli's maybe more. I couldn't stand it and wash it last Thursday. Haven't had it out since Friday. They finally plowed our street so we are going out to pick up a few things and grab a bite to eat. Wife will probably want to take the truck which is fine with me.

Nope.

As I have stated many times before on here Greybeard, I have a full blown Woodworking shop in my Garage so I cannot pull a car into it at all.

My Motorcycle BARELY fits in on the motorcycle lift.

My other Motorcycle has to spend the Winter in my 6'X10" Enclosed Trailer, because I Can't squeeze it in.

So my HHR Panel sits right were you see it in these pics all Winter. All year actually.

And as I have also stated here before, I may be Rethinking the woodworking shop in my Garage.

I keep my '55 Chevy in my Mothers garage while doing the Restoration work.

I am also thinking of buying a Commercial Building for a Business with offices and warehouse space. Most of the woodworking machines would go there to use Some doubles I will sell off and Hopefully big enough to store Both cars in all year round. IF I can find one for about $100,000.00 as I want to buy it outright with no mortgage on it. HARD to find buildings that cheap around here tho. (I WILL tho, just gotta be Ready to POUNCE on it when one I want comes up for sale.)

My motorcycles will both go in my garage at the house then.

Here is a picture of my 75,000 BTU celing mounted natual gas funace, and a shot of the one bike in my garage on my New motorcycle Lift I bought over the Summer.
On the wall behind the bike there is Rough Sawn 1/4 sawn white oak for funiture projects I make. I get my wood in Indiana from an Amish man that has a saw mill and kiln dries it, very nice man to deal with and very fair pricing.

And just for you Greybeard, a shot of my Driveway with my 6 ft X 10ft Enclosed Trailer Parked in front of my garage, See Any tire tracks going into the Garage?

And in this pic you can actually see Both of my Trailers in the background.

(Starting to think your still miffed I bought this 2LT Black Panel, because you Wanted it also.)

...more snippage...
Then...

1945 Unisaw w/goose-egg shaped motor cover, new arbor/bearings & machined pulley, Bench Dog extension, Pro-Lift, Beismeyer, sleds, etc...
1970s Ulmia woodworking bench
Lots of good stuff

Now...

Really dirty HHR SS & 4 Magnavox console stereos

I'll replace my gear when I move to a bigger place but it was all "just right"

I can't even stand to look at the woodshop pix but such is life

Hope you make the best choice for you, my circumstances required my decision but that doesn't change the result.

Mowgli,

You and I have talked about this before, On this forum.

I LOVE woodworking, I LOVE woodturning on my Lathes, but man the machines take up ALOT of room. And I don't get out there doing it every day.

I am HOPING to buy a building so I can move it all over to the warehouse so I won't sell it all. (I'll Need some machines for my Business)

In the pic of my driveway you can see my Stash of Logs for woodturning.

Before I got into woodworking for about the first 12 years of owning this house (have had it 20 years now) I did Custom autobody and Paint work as my "side Money" work, I did Alot of Show Cars and Bikes back then in this garage.

I have Several Vintage Delta woodworking machines if you recall, and a complete lineup of new modern woodworking machines filling up my garage.

I love the Art Deco Cast Iron Made in The USA Old Delta Machines.
If you remember I have 2 old Delta Unisaws and Both have the Cast Iron Goose Egg Motor Covers. 1 is the First year they were made, a 1939 4 Footed Unisaw. (The Only year they had 4 individual feet)

Like you I am Torn, Wanting to have Space right NOW for my cars again, But Know in my Heart I would Regret selling off my woodworking stuff.

My father in law is "Mr. Woodworking", he built a 20 x 100 foot shop just for the tools and various projects he's up to. Its fantastic stuff really, but I just think about how many cars would fit in there without the saws/planers/lathes/things I can't identify.

I rented a POD to move here and it would be expensive for a long term solution but maybe something similar?
I see storage units, like shipping containers, on CL sometimes.
Maybe something like that.

I saw the Shipping Containers on Craigs List also, but our town would FROWN on one parked in my Driveway.

It would be a Court Battle.

So instead I Added the Enclosed Trailer to my driveway.

I had Called the Village Hall and asked about the Village Ordinances about having a Trailer parked on your property and No vehicle sticker was needed, just need to keep the License Plate up to date.

So I then bought my Open trailer and parked it out front, Plated it and was All Legal.

I wanted to Build a 12x14 or 12 x 16 Shed Next to the 10x10 that is in the back yard, they said NO, you have 1 shed thats all we Allow, So, I bought the Enclosed Trailer for a steal of a deal on CL, Plated it and they can't say ***** about it now.

Trailer plates are only $15.00 a year, so it costs me $30.00 a Year to have them.

I keep Both bikes in the enclosed trailer during the warm months, it has a Drop Down Ramp Door on the back so when I want to Ride, I just drop the door and roll either bike out and GOOOO.
