Talking Engine progress pictures..

So i bought the truck last february and this was what it looked like the day i picked it up..

I then bought this crate motor that had 30k miles on it..

I overhauled that crate motor to a fully built 355ci.. every thing is new besides block, crank n rods

Looks Great so far. Being an engine guy, the rest is just gift wrapping for that beautiful looking crate engine.

awesome truck!
I did something similar...but we chose to PRO-STREET a 1985 S-10.
performance white with fuscia pearl, 355 pump gas small block, turbo 400, narrowed 12-bolt with spool and c-clip eliminators.

11.30's at 117 mph on track...3200 lbs.

But no pictures here...this is YOUR thread....and I like it. I like it ALOT!

thanks for the compliments

that white truck.. clean engine bay. wish mine was that clean. im on a budget tho haha
and im not a fan of chrome valve covers or air filters or alternators n a/c stuff ..
just looks cheesy on old truck. i dunno, just my 2 cents

Those greasy engines are the best.

The new engine looks cool though.

A question: Why not overhaul the old engine, instead of buying a new one? The old one was a 350, isn't it?
