Flurricane 2010
Sunny skies and a sweltering 27F here.
No snow in the forcast here for a change.
How long will it take for all that to melt there?
We still have our early December snow at the bottom of the ground cover.
It'll probably melt to grass by Mid-March.

Don't even attempt it.
We were out for supper last night, returning home around 7:30 when there was only about 4 inches on the ground here in Baltimore. The HHR would not make the hill leading to our house. Had to turn around and take an alternate route. Same hill, from a different direction. But luckily that road was traveled enough to be passable.
I am very disappointed in the HHR now. I've owned other lightweight front wheel drive cars (notably a 1973 Fiat 128) and they all made it through snow. This is the worst traction performance I have seen since I had my S-10 pickup.
Anyone have experience with the buckle-on type of snow chains? I think they're still available.

It turns out that our "progressive" state gov't here in MD allows studded snow tires only in the four western-most counties. Here in Baltimore they are illegal. Honestly I am about ready to buy an extra pair of wheels, drive up to Hagerstown and buy a pair of studded tires. With hundreds of unsolved murders in this city every year, what's the probability a cop is going to be looking for contraband snow tires?

Up here in the Hudson River Valley of NY State, we are used to getting slammed. But instead we got nothing today. It all stayed south of us. Maybe because I hooked up the plow last night and was ready for it, I scared it away.

Dang, now I have to
remove the plow again!
