Flurricane 2010
It got to a bracing 60ish today here as well, but it did rain quite a bit until around noon.
Now the car is filthy and will wash it in the morning before the game.
I'll be moving to the mid-West in about 2 years and seeing this just scares this SoCal gal.
May have to take the S10 with me and leave Blackie covered!
I was even encouraged to <gasp> put the rear-wiper back on (ain't gonna happen).

what kind of tires do you have on it? If it is the stock tires, that's your problem. Switched mine out and very happy now. On my way home from Northern Michigan yesterday the road was literally covered in 1" thick sheet of ice. I was doing 40 on it and feeling comfortable (didn't need to be riding another person's a** like the one person that I let by or the semi doing 18mph...) I know the stock ones would have done a good job on that ice.
Anyone have experience with the buckle-on type of snow chains? I think they're still available.
I don't think chains are recommended for front wheel drive cars. I have used chains in my previous life, but with rear wheel drive cars, both the buckle on and full chains that would rattle your teeth when driving. Max speed maybe 35 mph..
I'm glad I'm out of the snow belt, but snow is the consequences of global warming according to the Algore believers.

because those al gore believers never realized we had a mini ice age in the medieval time period. Maybe the medieval blacksmiths back then caused global warming with all those gases they were releasing to the atmosphere by forging weapons Thread
