GM Performance Parts Intake
The pictures aren't THAT great, but, I will get some tomorrow during the day, you get the idea though.
This is the system without the lid on...
With the lid...

Looks like a clone of the K & N filter. Except that different materials are used - which I like especially the Lid.
1) Is it stainless steel or polished aluminum?
2) It also appears that you used the original cold air tube to stream air from the fender to the air box?
3) Is that an oiled filter medium?

2) Yes, that is correct
3) No, It is an oil-free filter, therefore sensor safe

The installation was a breeze, the most difficult thing was putting on the rubber strips on the box, it was cold and my fingers were numb.
As far as the cost, I stated already I work at a dealership and got a good price, I didn't pay very much more than the K&N, Airaid, or CGS.
Also, like I said already, with any aftermarket intake if you get a code relating to the MAF sensor most dealerships will charge you $60-$90 to reset the computer. This can add up to WAY more then the retail cost of the intake. If you are buying a new HHR you can also roll the cost of this intake and even the GMPP exhaust system into the purchase price of the vehicle and finance them.

wow. I LIKE that...dry filter set up, installation looks like a breeze, and the added bling is a nice feature.
I am a gear head, so when I read the post title, GMPP INTAKE, I thought "intake manifold"...but it's a "air intake box"...gotcha...I thought "since when did GMPP make an aftermarket intake manifold for the ecotec??"
thanks for sharing...too steep for my blood...for now...my GF works in the parts dept. for GM...I'll see what her price is, and then decide.
