My first Mods
I like those flaps, any opinions on the amount of protection offered to the lower body ? No offense intended, but for my design, I don't want the factory running boards, but I am already needing to vsiit my dealer for repaint, so I want to add some protection after the repaint...

By "SET" do you mean you get both the front and rear splash guards for $55, if so I'll be getting them ASAP.

I've had these on for a while now, and they seem to protect the paint pretty well. I drive through gravel and dirt because of all the construction going on in my neighborhood. I don't have nearly the amount of splashback or rock hits that I used to.
I just hear rocks hit the fender well and roll off. I've even gone through some road resurfacing. No tar anywhere.
I was tempted to see what the generic Chevy mud flaps looked like. They had a set of those for $20. The HHR flaps do a really good job, especially since I have the running boards too. But, I could see where there would need to be a little more protection.
