New Pony In The Stable

$325 delivered 30+ miles during rush hour
7HP 5 forward speeds + reverse
24" of snowbank eating goodness
1 owner since new, always garaged & professionally maintained
Starts on 2nd pull & works great in all gears, etc with a fresh tune-up
Edit - Chains included just not installed yet

I was told she's 15-25 years old, please chime in if you're an Ariens expert

I'm soooooo psyched to get a snow thrower for this winter
I have 3 driveways and assorted walkways I've shoveled the last 3 winters
It's easy to say I shovel for the excercise but easier (at 48) to push a button or pull the cord (if I'm feeling frisky)

Without further ado here's the new addition to the fleet

Show your blower!

Yes, I mean snow thrower, this ain't the dungeon

Oh, I'll have to get a picture of ours! We got it from my dad's boss..not sure where he got it though. It's a "Snowbird" and it's from the 1950's! It even has snowbird brand tires on it!

I'll have to get a picture of it, it's really cool!

Kickin myself and kickin myself.

When I inherited my dad's house we were so overwhelmed with packrat-itis that I chucked a nice condition 50's thrower.
It didn't run but was in excellent shape, hardly any rust etc
It probably just needed a carb rebuild

We filled two 30 yard dumpsters before we could move in.
Another 15 yard dumpster a couple of months later.

The old green & red snow thrower is the only regret out of 75 yards of junk

Yeah, this snowthrower has the owners manual and everything! Even the dealer tag on it! Looks like it was rarely used, no rust at all!

Ariens are great machines. I have never owned one, but came across them a lot on other sites. Just look up the Ariens brand on google. I just sold my '72 Lawnboy, it was a great machine, but I have inhierited a Deere that is lighter and only a few years old. It was $2600 new.

i don't have to shovel etc where I live but my dads snow blower is around 5 feet across, ha. He has a 500' driveway, so a little walk behind doesn't cut it. Hooked up to his tractor with a full cab on it. They live out in the country so if they get a lot of snow like usual the city won't plow them out for days sometimes, so he'll cut a path all the way down the road and then clean out the older folks' driveways.
