Pick a Windshield Graphic!

Stuff on ebay they are using JUNK Cheap Vinyl.
When I bought my first vinyl plotter I bought some Cheap vinyl just to get me started, it's Cheap for a reason. It's JUNK.
I use Oracal Vinyl now. And even then there are Different Vinyls for Different Uses.
Oracal 651 should last about 3-5 years if not longer.
Oracal 751 should last 5-9 years and longer.
There are Several other types and other Good Brands, like 3M, and Avery.
They all make different Grades of vinyl for Different uses, The Longer Lasting ones, Cost More.
Thats why sellers on ebay use no name china stuff, buy cheap, sell cheap, and sell for profit only with no reguard for Longevity.
I mainly use 651, and 751 and have had NO failures.
Then there are Transparent vinyls used on lighted signs, lets the light light them up, some guys will Cheat and use regular vinyl and they barely light up at night.
Cast vs. Calendered Vinyl < Search that and you'll find out more.
Basically Cast is considered about 7+ years, up to 9, while Calendered is 1-5 on average but Quality name brands are more in the 3-5 year range.
I like the first one best. I agree with firemangeorge, that it's tough to see out the front window as it is. I have been looking for the "light prism" that you use to see the traffic light without having to lean forward to see it. Does anyone know where I can get a good quality one of them ? Thanks

Only bummer is that it mounts in a hole drilled in the dash. Maybe ya can fab a weighted base plate with some non-slide rubber (like under some GPS mounts, or even modify a GPS mount for the prism). also search the site for traffic light viewer & the like.
Hope this points ya in the right direction!
(edit: found same item "Guide traffic light viewer" for cheaper)

Bases are Available. I got mine with the Base.

It's actually magnetic for old school metal dashes. Be creative and you can attach it other ways without drilling your dash.
I used the Disk that came with one of my GPS units, the one they give you for use with the suction cup if you want it mounted other than on the glass.
And I use the another one that static clings to your windshield.

Back in my show car days we would put all of our sponsors accross the bottom of the strip it showed who sponsored you and your showcar that was alright, but that was for show.
I will probably remove mine and go back to a white 6" strip i think it looks cleaner.
