I was really hoping this truck would stop, I wanted to take better pictures!
In 1958 I used to work at a very small food market. The owner had one of these panel trucks and I used to deliver food to people at their homes. It had only a drivers seat.If I had a lot of deliveries we used an empty crate turned upside down for my helper. We didn't have seat belts or seats.

Now I have a new one with all these modern inventions and I don't even have to shift it.

Dayam, I didn't know you folks have love bugs too. Those things are nasty. If you don't wash them off right away the acid in their squished little bodies will eat through the paint really quickly. Our love bug season doesn't officially start till around September, but every year they come out earlier and they're already out in this area. sucks cause now I don't want to drive my HHR.

BTW: Did you know these love bugs originated (in the US) in Texas and have been migrating outward since sometime in the 1940's. Likewise, I'm sure some of the crap we have here in Florida has found it's way westward...LOL

They mate once, get buried in the soil. Newbies come out and the process starts all over again...what a sucky life.
