Winter progress thread......

Figured I'd toss this up while in storage, plan to tinker, got it so clean it's hard to resist not putting it up for sale! I plan to truck on though and get it to be what I want. Wheels are pulled to be refinished properly, and I finally got a hold of Pedder's to get my coilover spanner wrenches in route for a little more drop.

So!

Do a full detail, check-

Put into storage mode, pull wheels to refinish them, check-

Have Forge BPV show up and randomly install such, check!-

More to come as the snow flies.

Repurchased a pair of GM Stage sensors, as Crate Engine Depot now makes plug and play harnesses so I don't have to bastardize my factory wiring as GM forced prior! So that should cure my "overboost" code and support some further tuning that I plan.

I also secured a place to powdercoat my wheels, just need to get the tires dismounted and rims sandblasted. Can't wait for wheels and MOAR LOW!

Niiice!

What's the purpose for a Forge BPV? ? Just to get rid of the plastic BPV? Not having to worry about the rubber bladder crapping out? Did you pick it up through genuinesaab.com?

Ensure no boost bleed off, I was running the Dejon spring like an idiot and getting flutter, so I decided to go legit with the Forge. I actually picked it up from a CSS member, but have ordered through genuinesaab before with great success!

HHR is in storage, but yellow was in it, and recommended for my boost range so started with it. A lot of people swear the green works just fine regardless. Easy to change, don't even have to remove BPV once installed.

Well my refusal to cut factory wiring is resolved thanks to crateenginedepot.com releasing pigtails to run the GM Stage Upgrade sensors (3 bar), so that's back in the mix now and will be installed and tuned for upon arrival of my cable via Trifecta-

...also the rims came back from sandblasting today, and have a date with the powdercoater on Monday-

Best part is it hasn't even snowed yet, wtf am I going to do all winter?

I know what you mean about the winter!

BTW, what color are you going with on the wheels? I'm really thinkin about picking up a set and getting them powdercoated in a graphite color....I bet they would look great on a black SS

Those wheels look great...the color and the style..one of the best wheels I've seen on the HHR SS

I liked the primer shade, so I was going to go a metallic gray in between silver and gunmetal which was my "safe color", I also had a "wild color" picked out that I've been fascinated with or a while, so I'm going that route as it suits me better.

Mag blue, best part is I'll sit that low as well-
