What kind of tool are you talking about then?

It was at a firestone. Very nice places, even in the bad parts of towns. I wouldn't doubt they had one of the best ones available, just to do stuff like this.

TechII. Or, the too expensive kind for the shop to have laying around for tire jockeys to break. A real mechanic might pay $300-$500 for the kind that reads the ID of the sensor and inserts it into the RCDLR at the correct location.
