to the forum!

Before we can be of any help, there's something you have to do first.

Head to your local auto parts store(Napa, Advance, Autozone, O'Reilly, etc), and have them "pull the codes".

They'll do it for free and give you a printout of the stored trouble codes.

When you have the codes in hand, post them in this thread and we'll be able to point you in the right direction.

Without the trouble codes, we'd be guessing, and guessing wastes your time and money.

It does comes on for a reason; it needs to be serviced. It goes off when you turn the car off because there is no power to the DIC display panel.

Please get more information and get it to us, like engine size, mileage, last brake inspection, Check Engine Light. Most probable is you need a brake job. If it's a 2.4L maybe cam actuators. Don't know, don't have any info

Like 843de says, you gotta get the codes and post them - any suggestions would be a total guess.

Great - you got the codes!!!

From what I can see, you have either 1 or two problems:

u2107 - "Lost Communications with Body Control System" - check the fusebox under the hood for a good connection - I believe it plugs into a big receptacle below it. Also check that the plugs adjacent to it are securely attached to the computer boxes (it may have generated the other two codes)

P0011 - "P0011 Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance" - that points to the Intake Camshaft Actuator Solenoid (solenoid, not "sensor) - and is well detailed here on how to replace it, along with the part numbers etc.. - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/camshaft-position-actuator-solenoid-valve-replacement-w-pics-p0010-11-p0013-14-a-28779/

c0561 - " System Disabled Information Stored" - can be generated by the problem related to the P0011 code on occasion.

So check the connections first and go from there.

Tip for you: get used to using the SEARCH tool at the top of the page - ie: enter a code and do a search for it, then do a lot of reading, which is often quicker finding what you need rather than awaiting a response to your query.

Could be one of the Cam Position Sensors, but not likely.

True dat. One thing that comes to mind was if the solenoids he replaced already were OEM or were some after market ones. Me, I'd stick with the GM ones.

Traction Control Light

I have a 2006 that had the same problem. Took it in and had it scanned. I needed to have an Intake VVT Solenoid replaced. No more problems.
