08 SS electrical problems
Hello, I have an 08 HHR SS that I recently bought from a private seller. Long story short, it has a lot of electrical problems. The power mirrors don't work, 3 out of 4 power windows don't work (the one that does, the driver's window, barely works, as I have to fiddle with the switch to get it up and down), and the sunroof is stuck open, only getting about 1/4 of the way closed before it suddenly stops. The car was sitting for 2-3 years when I bought it, and I figured that replacing the fuses would fix my problem. It didn't. Has anyone else experienced these issues before, and if they were fixed, how? Any and all help is appreciated.

First step, tighten the 4 bolts in the under hood fuse box, very tight!
Second step, check battery voltage, at the battery, must be 12.5 volts static!
if battery fails it’s test , replacement is required.
Maybe clean the contacts in the drivers master window switch

The switches in the driver door along with the door speakers tend to get wet and fail. Water gets past the felt seals then turns to vapor inside the door causing corrosion
The sunroof probably has some foreign stuff in the tracks.
And the battery, they usually are less than 5 year guarantee.

With the windows you need careful diagnosis. The switch, the "regulator" (operating mechanism) and the motor can all fail. The switches are the easiest and cheapest thing to replace. You can even dissasemble the switches and clean the contacts if you don't want to wait for replacements.
Check if the passenger and driver rear window work with the local switch first.
It's possible replace a motor or regulator seperately, but there can be compatibilty problems, and you can find a motor/regulator assembly for about the same price as either component.

I cleaned the contacts, and replaced the switches altogether, to no avail. The sunroof's track also turned out to be completely broken. I also installed a new battery when I bought the car. I ended up just taking it to a shop, and found out there are a lot more problems than meets the eye lol. Thank you all for the help!
