No codes, no lights, have a basic Matco code reader with me, no faults…massive delay and no engagement between 1-2 was very concerning, almost turned around but seeing a dying relative in FL so carrying on…hopefully a fault will trigger soon….it’s just weird that it has only happened during start and drive then hasn’t happened the rest of the drive cycle.

I have opened the transmission and removed the shift solenoids, 2-3 shift solenoid is visibly burnt on the inside, I’d say that’s the reason. Luckily not melted to connector. Made it to Florida and back but problem was still present after almost every restart, if you experience what I experienced shifting, change them out before it leaves you stranded, and before it throws a fault, solenoids cheap, transmission expensive.

Hi, Any chance you have the part numbers for the transmission solenoids?

My 2009 LT Panel has about 125,000 miles and it is not shifting properly. Seems to not want to shift out of first or second gear. Check Engine light is on. Code pulled at Advance Auto Parts is P0757 Shift Solenoid valve 2 Stuck ON.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I was gonna drop the pan and replace the filter this afternoon and add new Royal Purple ATF. Does that sound like a good idea???

Thanks,
Chris

Is there some reason you can't use GoOgle or call a auto parts store? I guess I could look it up for you, but you have internet access. GoOgle "hhr 2-3 shift solenoid", other search engine would have similar results.
P0757 is actually 2-3 Shift Solenoid valve perfornmance-no third or fourth gear. There is a possibility there are broken or loose wires involved (between the trans and the TCM).
Replace the 2-3 shift solenoid and the 1-2 solenoid. Royal Purple is even more expensive than the recommended Dexron V!, whatever you use it should be a Dexron certified synthetic.

You’re gonna need the fluid out anyway, I just use Dexron VI .

24207236, same for both, replace them both

You can see the white plastic harness clips, replace them both
