2.2 engine the difference in years 2007 /2009

Hi I want to change engine 2.2 2007 to 2009. Are there differences about which I need to know .

Depends on if the 09 has Variable Valve timing or not .
You can verify this by looking at the left side of the valve cover and confirming if it has or doesn't have the solenoids to the left of #1 spark plug. The 07 should not have them but double check.

It will depend on which vehicle the replacement engine comes from.
If you're trying to swap HHR engines, then it probably won't work. The 2009 HHR was a flex fuel engine. The 2007 was not.

Note** Just saw you are located in Poland. Sorry but I don't know if the above info will be the same for European HHR's.

So there are two versions of the engine to 2009.
Ok I feel I need not Variable Valve Timing.
Is it only this different?

The engines have to be the same configuration, and preferably the same year, otherwise the electronics (Engine control Monitor) and numerous other connectors/sensors will not be compatible.

I found the same engine, only to 2009.
As I said, the seller has the motor shaft with one sensor on the head.
and I have one sensor shaft!
