Supposedly, checks the conformity of the sensors on the head on the right.
And I wanted to confirm this forum.

It looks the same as my 2.2 L 2007, just needs a cleaning and transfer your sensor and fittings and manifolds then swap it out.

All those numbers on the label are called a broadcast code and tell you for what vehicle and when and where the engine was made.

I once had a link to a decoder, but lost it.

Read post #10 in this thread: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...roblems-40547/

Maybe 843de remembers where it is.

Since the embossed label say "ecotec" but not VVT, it is not a VVT or a 2.4. So it should work in a 2007. I doubt that it is really from a 2009 built car, but I think I read somewhere that the model year in Europe is actually the first TITLE year not the manufactured year.

I think the engine in the picture may be a 2007.
Based on donbrew's link and 843de's decoding of the engine bar code, it appears that the 7th digit is the year.
That being the case, the one in the picture appears to be built in 2007.

I purchased this engine. I'll be exchanging or remove the old with or not the gearbox?
How is easier.
