2006 HHR occasional clunk

My girlfriend has a 2006 HHR and it has an occasional loud clunk while driving and sometimes over bumps. I have read a few threads on here about the nightmare that is the front end clunk and decided the check out the suspension. I grabbed the front bar and endlinks and pushed and tugged and didn’t hear any noise. Upon inspection some of these bushings on the lower arms and what not seem suspect, any input? Also I’m not sure what thE name for the part is below the CV axle that also had a small rubber boot on it, name please?

Pic one is a tie rod end. The rest are the lower control arm(LCA) and the ball joint that is attached to it.

Check out the link in my signature for help diagnosing rattles, clunks, etc.

The tie rod appears to need some grease, the boot should bulge as you pump 4 or 5 shots of grease into it.
did you have a look at the sway bar bushings?

Sway bushing

I couldn’t see the sway bushings to check them but the sway bar seems solid with zero play.

If it’s the original bushings, their shot or at the very least dry, you can remove them and clean them and wipe some grease in them the reassemble, but for under $10.00 put in new ones!

As clean as everything is in the pics, I'm not surprised you're in Florida. Car repair dreamland.
