2006 Rear latch issues
#11
Sorry fuses are good and there are no extra fuses in box #11
It worked fine before it died, and no one looked at it except me, until I took it to the dealership.
There is no sound at the rear hatch when I press the remote or use the manual unlock
It will open manually but it's not easy to get back there and fine the sweet spot to unlatch.
I don't have a voltmeter.
so are you saying that I should replace the pad or the actuator first?
Thanks for your assistance

There is no sound at the rear hatch when you use the remote. Only when pressing the touch pad will it make a sound as it unlatches.
Not sure what you mean : "It will open manually but it's not easy to get back there and fine the sweet spot to unlatch. " Can you clarify? Do you mean by using a screwdriver or such through the access hole to trigger the unlatching mechanism?
If you don't have a voltmeter, or a test light to verify if the touch pad is working or not, or if it has connectivity, nobody can determine if it is the touch pad or the actuator that is at fault. You need to do some tests to narrow the problem down. If you can't do it yourself, you will need to take it to a mechanic or the dealer.
