Moved to the proper "Problems" sub-forum.
I've exchanged a few PM's with Nelson and I had him check the obvious thing first, and his coolant level was a bit low. So he brought it up to a tad above Full Hot.
From the second PM, I know he indicated that initially it was hitting 220 when stopped in traffic. I advised him on how to check for cooling fan function by engaging the A/C to verify that the fans are running and haven't failed.
That's where we left it, with the other usual suspects of a stuck thermostat, or possible head gasket failure yet to be explored.
I haven't heard anything back since Sunday night.
