My 4 month old car left a present on the floor for me today, oil stains. I have been parking outside until yesterday so I didn't notice when it started. Going to take it back to the dealer tomorrow. This engine has so much plastic crap on it I can't get a good view but it's coming from the right side of the engine. (I didn't feel inclined to start ripping it apart since it's under warranty and I have to do enough of that on my older vehicles). It's slung itself all over the place and has completely coated the right side of the subframe.

Very disappointing but at least for the first time in my life I don't have to fix it myself! I started doing my own repairs due to poor diagnosis and repair at garages, now I have to hope the dealer does quality work! It's hard for me to trust other people to do good work.

 

Lemme know how that goes. My 2006 has had an oil leak for over a year now, but only about a third quart every oil change.

 

Dealer says it needs a new crank seal and a new harmonic balancer. Parts will arrive Friday. This is disappointing, but at least they gave me a decent loaner car.
