Hey guys first post. I’ve seen some threads on this but can somebody answer this. Driver door won’t open from inside. Outside handle works. The cable is connected to the handle but the top of the clip is broke off. It was like this when I got it. I’ll include a picture of the piece that’s broke off on mine. I can pull the cable out of the handle and using needle nose pliers pull on it hard enough and it will unlatch. Will that broke piece on the clip keep it from unlatching? Should I just go ahead and order a latch assembly? Thanks for any answers you can give me!

Update~ I installed a new door latch and my door now opens from the inside And outside just great. It took me 29 minutes.
