The rear hatch release on my 2010 LT intermittently won't work. All the other locks work. I press the release pad on the hatch and nothing happens no sound or anything. I turn the car off and lock it. When I check it after 10 minutes it works fine. It happens in warm or cold temps. It seems to happen after driving. Could there be a connection problem or a relay problem?

 

Just a guess you may have a bad touch pad.

Here is a thread to give a read it has a tsb that explains some good diagnostics.

The tsb is for 2006 models but the diagnostic should still be the same.

My 2011 sometimes takes a couple of tries, but always eventually works.

"could be" fuse or relay is loose. The underhood fuse box.
