Finished my LCA and links (went almost too easy: scared!) Brought in for an inspection and alignment. (They said I did a nice job on the LCAs and should submit an application. I don't see how they can tell I did a good job. But I'll stick to fixing CNC lasers; a LOT more fun and challenging.)

But they brought me out to show me the 'green' on my AC compressor, stating its probably leaking. (dang)
I do have a type 1 HVAC lic, but only got it to work on my own stuff. So my overall question is does the HHR (2006) have a TXV or fixed orifice metering device? Just need to know if I have to shoot for sub-cool or super-heat.

You can still check both subcool 15-20° or superheat approx 15°
Or if it's empty best to just weigh it in.

 

Didn't understand at first what this is about. Looked up TXV which is an acronym for Thermal Expansion Valve.
Then I found a video that explains superheat and subcool.
