Air Bag Question

Hello,

Is there an Air Bag in a 2010 Panel in the Pillar Area between the Driver and Passenger Doors? This is the area where the Seat Belt attaches to the car.

I would like to remove the Interior Panels but they are marked as Air Bag.

Thanks in advance.

Just saw your post, thought someone would have answered sooner.
The following is copied from the owners manual.
"All of the airbags in your vehicle will have the word
AIRBAG embossed in the trim or on an attached label
near the deployment opening."

Hey wmsburghhr,

Thanks~ I finally figured out how to de fuse the Air bag system. Some where here on the Forum pointed out a Fuse to remove, However there are actually 2 Fuses One at the Drivers compartment Fuse Box and One at the Engine Bay Fuse Box. They are clearly labeled.

Thanks again

Beware of this!!! Removing just the fuses may not disable the airbag system. Those fuses could be just for the airbag dash light and seat occupant sensor.
Be careful if you THINK that it is disabled.
At the very least, you should have the battery disconnected before working around an airbag system. If the battery is disconnected, then the fuses should be unpowered.

In other words. Don't proceed with any work unless you are 100% sure.
