Air Conditioning Filter Drier

I will soon replace my '09 SS air conditioning compressor. Typically on major A/C work, I would replace the filter drier while the system was open. However, it seems the car does not have one. Can anyone confirm if the car has one, and where it would be?

Bump.
Anyone have some feedback? I looked over the system very closely, but found no filter drier, which caught me off guard.

It appears to be built into the A/C condenser.
Hope this helps

Hmm. I think typical best practice is to replace the filter drier when the system is open for major repairs. So would that mean you have to replace the condenser? That seems like overkill.

Yes, that is the orifice, which serves double-duty as a filter. However, I'm referring to the larger soup-can-sized canisters full of desiccant to pull out moisture from the system. See the attached image

s an example.

All Google search results for AC drier are the condenser. Maybe it's the vertical tube built into the passenger side of the condenser. It doesn't appear to be serviceable.

If it is not on the parts diagram my guess is there isn't one. Maybe this centuries freon doesn't need it.

I found a site that says if you have a dryer you need to have an expansion valve and if it has an accumulator it has to have a orifice tube.
I don't see an expansion valve but I do see a orifice tube.
