Air Filter change

I changed the air filter on my 06 HHR at 63K miles. After changing the filter, the check engine light and the traction control light comes on and has stayed on for 5 days now. Even the remote start dosent work. Any suggestions or cures or am I bound for the mechanic.

I'd start with making sure the new filter is sitting in the right. Then check to make sure you didn't unplug something. Then a trip to Advance or Auto Zone to get the code read to see what it is for.

Remote start is disabled w/ CEL.

You properly re-installed the MAP sensor?

Okay, I'm no mechanic. Is the mapp sensor that plug under the air filter? The last motor I worked on was a 327 in my 63 chevy pickup..

Yeah..... the one just under the air filter...... I don't know if technically it's a MAP or MAF sensor but that's the one I meant.

It's the MAF. Failing to plug it back in WILL create issues, including a CEL.

Thanks, JoeR..... I'll try to remember that it's a MAF
