Alarm problem

Alarm problem

I got my wife an 2006 hhr lt with no remote's and the alarm goes off every time you unlock the door with the key is there a way to turn off the alarm so it wont always honk the horn ?

Lock the vehicle with the key, then use they key to unlock it. that'll keep you from getting honked at.

Used fobs are available on e-bay, new ones on Amazon or at your dealer. You do have to have the vehicle programmed for them to work, expect to pay between $50 and $100 for the programming.

My dealer wanted $90 to reprogram my fob after it got broken into said hell with that and bought a viper now I have a better alarm and everything is protected.

I bought a spare remote for my 2006 from my local locksmith a couple years ago and I think it was $40 including programming. Even if you have to pay $100, it's well worth it.
