Any one else have this problem...
The other day I took my drivers side rear wheel off and noticed that at some point in the previous ownership the e brake cable mount had broke and had caused the cable to rub the wheel, they had ziptied it back in place so it worked, but this was not suffiecient for me so I took it in for service while still under warranty today. They replaced the cable and wow what a difference, my ebrake handle functions better and I am already getting about 1 mpg better that I had been. Which leads me to believe the damage done to the cable while only appearing to be the rubber coating worn off, actually had internal damage and was binding a little.
With that, I will be taking the wheel and drum off tomorrow to make sure the brake pad is not wore down.
