I just started having problems with my key not coming out when I turn off the ignition- the manual has how to reset it - so I can get the key out but I heard about a recall for this problem - does anyone know if one exists and how I find it.
I just bought my HHR in July - a 2006 with only 6,000 miles on it- it now has 23,000 due to my work requirements - so I figured something would go wrong- but it got hit and this situation started all in one day- I am ready to give up
please help if you can.
I love the car so far- but need this problem fixed.

 

I think you're out of luck on a recall for 2006, but check post # 163 & 164 on this link....

i've got a 2006...haven't had the "problem" yet but, think it's a good idea to use some graphite on the key, now, to possibly avoid such an issue..??
