Anyone??

My dic went blank today for about 5 mins and I turned off the car thinking that would fix it. No luck.. it fixed itself after few minutes.

Anyone else experience this?

Could this have been a function of your instrument panel having been dimmed by the auto headlamps being turned on? If you have your panel level turned down as I do, you can scarcely see them when this happens in bright sunlight. If it happens again, check and see if you can see the radio display. My auto headlamp sensor is VERY sensitive.

Mine has done this twice this spring. Not only was the DIC blank, radio was dark as well. After about 30-45 seconds it came on. The radio was playing at the time, that is how I noticed radio display blank as well. Odd It was hot outside, maybe that had something to do with it?

I park in a garage so the lights are on when I start the vehicle. AFter I pull out it can take 30+ seconds for the lights to turn off (during the day of course). Looking at the DIC or radio before the headlights turn off make them appear to not be working. They are dimmed for driving w/ headlights on, but the sun is bright giving the illustion that they are not working. The first time I noticed this I thought something was wrong w/ the dic. I did figure out though that everything was ok

I do get the same thing on sunny days in mine. I have a traffic light with a freeway overpass that turns my lights on. When I come back into the sun it look like the DIC is gone.

I too thought something went till I realized what happend.
