Automatic Lock Issues
I own a 2007 HHR LT,
i have been experiencing some odd behavior with my vehicle and i guess i just need someone to tell me i'm not crazy. I have No key fob connected to my vehicle, and No security system
the only way in and out of my vehicle is by using a key (or personally unlocking or locking from the inside of course)
When i exit my car and lock my doors manually, my car will lock itself again after i walk away.
it also happens when the car is left off and unlocked. this is not an every time thing, only at odd times.
overall this has happened about 30 times in the last 4 months. Is anyone else experiencing this issue??

I believe you are experiencing the factory security system. You have an LT so I assume it is standard.
For instance, manually lock the car and walk away and a honk will happen moments after signaling the car alarm is armed (but the honk sound can be turned off, if you don’t hear one).
Also, leaving the car unlocked without opening the other doors will cause the car to relock itself.
I believe you are just experiencing the security system doing its job.

You can get an online Owner Manual via a link in my sig.
I think 2007 you can activate the security by pressing the "lock all" button in the driver door. If the door is open when you do it waits a few seconds after you close the door before all doors lock. That varies by year, check the book.
