BAD misfiring, NO POWER -- PLEASE HELP

Yea not sure its those solenoids, plus I have a 2.2 so I dont think they are on top like that. Be honest Im tired of throwing money at the car, Im going to wait till Monday, milk it over to the closest Chevy dealer so they can diagnose it for me........

Did you inspect the spark plug insulators (the ceramic part that sticks out of the block)? Where they dis-colored (green or orange)? If so, could be head gasket.
Also check the coolant level in the tank AND in the pressure cap (when cold). The code should identify which cylinder is mis-firing.
No response to "coil packs" may mean wrong car? HHR does NOT have A COIL, but 4, 1 for each spark plug.
"Ignition Control Module that sits on top of the coil pack"????? Each spark plug has a coil pack attached to the boot, that's what you unscrew to pull the boot out. As far as I know the Ignition Control Module lives somewhere else, like in the BCM maybe? Definitions may be a problem here.

No my HHR has one single piece that has the coil built into it, and it goes across all four spark plugs. I used to be a ASE certified mechanic so this isnt my first rodeo. I know its going to turn out to be something simple, just with all the sensors and computer stuff in cars now its not easy to diagnose.
Yes the coolant level is good, the code I got from the cheapo scanner at AutoZone was for multiple misfires, it did not identify which cylinder.
Like I said unless someone comes up something else that makes sense I can check tomorrow, monday morning Ill milk it over to the chevy dealer, SLOWLY, since the car will only do about 35 MPH.....
I can almost gaurantee its not a injector either, because while its running, rough as hell and misfiring, the catalytic converter is getting real hot from burning the fuel thats not getting ignited.......

The "cheap-o" code readers that I have experienced always come up with a cylinder, even if a mis-fire is not the real issue. i.e.: "mis-fire on cylinder 4" really means "check your gas cap". I have never seen one fail to report which one is mis-firing, just a mis-interpretation of what the code means.
Might have been ASE certified before OBDII, since figuring out what the code REALLY means is the crux of certification? Not picking a fight, just sayin'.
And if it's still under guarantee, and you've got the time, Why not let GM figure it out?

Go to Advance Auto website and look up a Coil for a 2006 HHR with a 2.2, youll see what the single coil looks like. Makes it easy in the sense of not having to figure out which one is bad if thats the problem......

FINALLY RUNNING
Well $360 bucks later, the HHR is running again. This morning took it to the dealer, let them diagnose it, turned out to be the Ignition Control Module. Replaced it and car runs fine again. BUT, now the Catalytic Converter is toast, but the car still runs ok so that can wait a little bit.....
