balancing SS tires

I was wondering about when I get new tires and I have them balanced, I don't want the weights on the outside. Do a lot of shops use the internal glue on weights now? I know I'll ask before anything gets done but I was wondering what you people have done

Yup. I only use sticky weights for all wheels. Some mechanics hate em. But on certain rims they only yse the hammer weights on the inside rim so u wont see them.

I have worked at a Firestone store for 36 years... The SS wheels would only get tape weights where I work... I have this balance on my 08 SS with no problems.

Don't think you can put hammer weights on the outside lip of an SS rim. The lip, or lack of it, won't let them grab hold.
Now, back in the day, I have actually seen some stupid tire shops put the stick-on weights on the outside edge of some mag style rims.

No worries, stick on weights placed as close to the backside of the rim spokes as needed..
& for inside, the "J" lip is still there for hammer on weights If needed.
