Battery
One of my few gripes is the battery-mine has gone dead many times overnight, and even one time when the car was being inspected and the door was left open for 15 minutes. There is no way of turning off the mirror lights, but that should not kill the battery in that short time. I have taken my car to the dealer several times, and they made me wait several hours while they charged the battery, then tested it and said it was fine. Meanwhile, especially in cold weather, my car barely cranks in the morning.
I could probably go back and insist on a new battery, but it would just be a new model of the same small capacity original equipment piece of junk. I will probably just buy a good aftermarket one.
Does anybody know about Bosche? Pep Boys has them onsale for 85 bucks with an 8 year warranty (the first 3 years free replacement, no pro rating). The price is right, but are they any good???

Get them to replace the OEM one, or find another dealer that will. I have no issues with the OEM battery in my 06, and it has sat outside in -10F weather a few times. It always starts right up, at least with the key (remote start won't work in that weather).

"It always starts right up, at least with the key (remote start won't work in that weather)."
I have had a strange problem with the remote start. Many times, when I try the remote start the car just clicks like the battery is dead, but then when I use the key it will crank (although slowly and barely starting the car).

Lee3333, I mentioned this in a thread awhile back. Had a battery go dead in a Ram and the dealer charged it and checked it and said it was fine. Couple days later it was dead again and I jumped it to get to the dealer, they replaced it and was fine after that. Couple years later I jacked up the gas cap and put a new HHR under it.

Get them to replace it AC Delco`s are the best I have found never less than 7 years life on the factory battery. The longest I got was 9 years wife`s 2001 sunfire coming up to 7 years in may with original battery.Did the dealer check for an amp draw with car off and every thing else turned off.
