Belt noise.

Took the HHR in a couple weeks ago for a belt noise. They concluded it was a bad belt and ordered a new one. A couple of weeks later and I noticed the noise again. Now they are saying it is a loose belt tensioner and of course it has to be ordered too. So we'll see if this fixes it?

Ok. replaced the belt tensioner and they still heard the noise. After looking around they concluded it was a loose bolt on the harmonic balancer . Tightened it and the noise went away. Again. we'll see if this fixes it.

All this fussing and trying until the problem is fixed. This is the future. They should look back and study the old stuff. Leaky water pump on your 1929 Ford Model A? No problem.....pull the pump, re-pack it, put it back in. Life with a new car should be so easy.

This situation kind of confirms my feelings regarding dealers service.

GM was billed 3 times for warranty work that should have been done correctly the first time. This only contributes to GM's poor financial, as well as product quality, problems.

Hillsdale....glad it appears to be taken care of.

Side note....been to Wynn Shulers lately???? How was it???

Yeah, I know. But, I thought Marshall isn't to far away. Probably wrong though.

Actually, I was just in Marshall. Didn't know they had one either. Is it good enought to make a special trip to try it?

Yeah Shulers used to have great steaks (I'm from Michigan originally) and if the first didn't fill you....the second was free. Don't know if they still do that.

Was last there about 2003 (traveling through from Farmington/Livonia area) and had a Sunday Buffet that was absolute "killer".

Well, I just got back from the video store and the noise is back. Called into service and will be taking it back in on Thursday. This is getting old already.
