My sister crashed into a truck about a year ago and destroyed the radiator.

I replaced it but the place where the hood latches is extremely bent.

I have seen the replacement part online but my self taught mechanic cousin said he was unable to pull it off is the part welded on or did he just not try hard enough.

 

Welded. Why not try bending it? I have done it with a come-along.

 

Got a tree ? A piece of 2x4? Tow strap? Pull it straight with the wood as a guide to prevent pull to much and the tow strap to protect the tree gently back up until the metal pulls enough to allow the hood to close
