Blower Motor Change-out

Hi All - another newbie (to alot of things)

The blower motor on my HHR has failed - the typical water damage due to the butyl seal not sealing. The fan (and motor) has siezed so I need to replace.

I have tried getting it out, but there must be some tricks you regulars have used? I have taken all the little bolts out of the casing (all that I can see anyway) and some off the heater matrix (I think) cover under the center consol.

I got the glove box out and am working thru the whole and under the dash and room is pretty tight - please don't tell me I have to remove the dash aswell!!!!!

Any tips / hints etc greatly appreciated

Thanks

Nope, you don't have to take the dash out. You will need to make a cut in the plastic housing that holds the blower moter and it will pop right out. Use the search for blower motor removal and you will come up with an exploded diagram of where to cut and what you need to put it back together. I'll see if I can find it and re-post it for ya.
