Broken Rear Spring

1 Attachment(s)
Right rear was clunking. When I finally got under to look I saw a broken spring. Anyone else had this happen? Mines an 08 with 115k. Any brand recommendations? I was thinking Moog

one other I have heard of. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...springs-41167/

You should probably consider new jounces and isolators (the top & bottom seats).

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll look at parts tonight including shocks (there original).

Both of my springs broke

Just replaced both of my broken springs ,shocks, struts and sway bar links last night with my mechanic friend Jon's expertise. 96,600 miles at this time, will get an alignment tomorrow and we should be good for awhile.

Why an alignment? Nothing you replaced affects the toe.

X2. I replaced damn near the entire guts of the wheel well and never needed an alignment.

$82 for springs & shocks (Moog & Gabriel Ultra) from Rock. I ended up using a spring compressor because my rubber brake lines seemed to be stretched to the max and there still was not enough clearance. Only video I could find was for a Cobalt that seemed to have a different brake line setup, allowing for more pivot of the lower arm?

I used a prybar to get the extra bit. I didn't have a problem with brake lines.
