I have tried just turning off the A/C and It was bought as a used car so the dealership warranty is over. And the fan is what will not turn off. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. The fan will go all the way up and down one turn and when I keep turning it it just doesn't turn the fan down. So it is really loud in the car.

Even if the car is used, it most likely still retains the manufacturer's warranty because of the year of your car. Call them and find out.

I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ but have you pushed the button (the center of the temperature control knob)? We're all familiar with these cars so we take these things for granted.

I have 30880 miles on the car and yes I have pushed the a/c button many time to see if that would do anything but all it dose is turn off the a/c and not the fan. I'm looking at the warranty tonight to see what I can do and if it is under warranty can I take it to any chevy dealer? Thank you everyone for you your help so far.

Ahh, I see, I missunderstood your initial post. You can take it to any GM dealership. Sounds like the fan switch itself might be defective.
