A/C Compressor Clutch

2008 hhr 2.2L
A few weeks ago my A/C stopped working. A little quick troubleshooting and I am getting my 12volt at the clutch but clutch is not engaging. I bought a new clutch and now, 3 weeks later I decide to replace it. This is NOT a task for the weary! I remove the tire, plastic shield, unbolt the compressor so I can move it about 1” so I can get a socket to properly engage the nut, yada yada yada. Finally get the clutch, pulley and coil off and the clutch I ordered is 4” diameter , the factory clutch assembly is 4.7”. I noticed on rockauto that the four seasons 47280 says something about “w/cvc”. Some other compressors say with PVX16. So what is going on here, did the HHR come with two different compressors?

Have you verified that there is enough refrigerant in the system with a set of gauges?

This page seems to indicate that they are the same. I do seem to remember discussion of 2 different compressors,

Hhr a/c compressor clutch

I am replacing the A/C compressor clutch on my 2008 HHR. This is a gen1 A/c compressor. What is the torque spec for the sliver nut in the center of the pulley? What tool is made to stab into the three holes surrounding the silver nut to hold the clutch while I torque the nut? This job is tough, if you are doing it while still on the car.

The local auto parts store should have the AC tool, maybe for loan.
