Unhappy A/C problem with 2006 HHR

Has any had the following problem with their HHR? The A/C would only work on high and then it stopped working. I changed the blower fuse on the inside fuse panel but still it does not work. Any other ideas or suggestions?
Thank you

Jeez man some people don't have warranty left or the money to have it fixed!!!! There are tons of possibilities here could be a vacuum hose loose or the switch that you turn the vent on with could be broke or defective.

had a chrysler cirrus that had the same problem. i had to change the reistat(resistor) and that worked for the blower for 2 days then only on high again. talked to mechanic and was told blower motor was bad causing this resistor to pop. changed blower motor and new resistor and no more problem.

If you had the water leak problem that 06's and 07's had, water shorted the blower motor resistor which is 25 to 50 bucks depending where you buy it. It is up under the pass side by left of the blower motor right by the firewall. Not too hard to change if you are handy

Is the A/C comp coming on? With key on, eng. not running can you hear the A/C clutch click when you push the A/C botton on & off?
If yes then blower switch or the reistat(resistor) like HHRse said. Also #30 relay in the floor console fuse block

This happened to someone I know after a windshield change, they cut the rubber membrane covering the access to the top of the heater/AC blower, shorted out the resistor.

Make sure whoever does the repair checks for water leaks... It'll probably happen again if there's a water leak. (Search for butyl patch repair on this site)
