A/C question

Noticed since I bought this the ac always is on. When I hit the button to turn ac on it comes on, but no difference. I'm sure its a relay issue but anyone else have any guidance?

I’m not sure I understand the situation. Maybe I’m reading your description wrong. Would you care to elaborate a bit to clarify?

What does "on" mean? The light on the button, the compressor running, The fan on etc? Do you keep it on recirc on defrost?
The compressor runs in defrost and recirc. The compressor does not run if the fan is not on.
If the light is always on and the compressor is not on somebody may have mixed some wires up. If the compressor is always on without the above conditions, probably wires switched.

It doesn't matter what position I have the dial on, defrost, feet, bowing at me, ac on in all positions.

If I push the ac button the light comes on, but absolutely no change in temp of discharge air. AC works great too, I just got to thinking my mpg might increase if I could turn ac off.

I doubt the mpg will change... I get the same mpgs regardless if ac is on or not... Now snow, ice and rain does make a difference.

So, you have opened the hood and verified that the compressor is engaged?
Must be relay #15 under hood is stuck on. There is a flyback diode in #9 under hood, the fuse is #22.
The only other thing I can think of is the connectors on the button.

Your compressor is not engaging. Do you have tools?
